Use dental floss to fix an ingrown nail.

Slide the dental floss under the nail as far as you can. Trim the floss while leaving about an inch on either side of the nail. Change the floss daily, and the pressure and pain should alleviate within 2-3 days. Now (hopefully) your nail will start to properly grow upwards and out of your skin.
