When writing an essay that only has a single source, search for that article's sources.

Additionally, if the source has cited books, try to check them out at the library to insert quotes and other information that hasn't been scanned and indexed by Google Books, Google Scholar, or similar. Google Scholar or Connected Papers (https://www.connectedpapers.com/), allow you to see papers citing the one that you found. This is ideal to get a differing opinion or criticism which you may have not considered when writing your paper.
